How I work is part of what I make. These are the things I try to protect on every team I join.
Psychological safety
There are no dumb questions. People do their best work when they feel safe to be curious, ask for help, and say “I don’t understand yet” out loud.
Kindness
The cheapest thing I can bring to work, and the thing teams remember longest. I was hired at HubSpot when the HEART culture code was a priority: Humble, Empathetic, Adaptable, Remarkable, and Transparent. Those values still guide how I show up today.
Growth mindset
I want to keep learning, as a designer and as a person. I assume everyone, including me, is still learning, and I treat feedback as a gift, not a verdict.
